Postdoctoral position in theoretical and computational condensed-matter physics
Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO 65211, USA
Description:
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in theoretical and computational condensed-matter physics in the group of Prof. Carsten A. Ullrich at the University of Missouri (http://www.missouri.edu/~ullrichc/). The main focus of the project will be to study excitonic effects in materials using time-dependent density-functional theory (TDDFT), and to describe ultrafast electronic excitation processes in photoexcited and strongly driven bulk semiconductors and semiconductor heterostructures.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience in theoretical condensed-matter physics and/or material science. In particular, I am looking for an individual who has significant knowledge of density-functional theory, and is skilled in computational methods for electronic band structure and optical processes in materials.
Application:
Applications should be sent by email to Prof. Carsten A. Ullrich (ullrichc@missouri.edu) and should include a CV, a list of recent and most important publications, and the names and contact addresses of at least two references. Full consideration of applications will begin immediately, and will continue until the position is filled.
