Sustainable Concrete Materials & ConstructionConcrete and Masonry Research Group, Faculty of EngineeringThe Concrete and Masonry Research Group within the Faculty of Engineering at Kingston University has established itself as a centre of excellence in developing an improved understanding of concrete and masonry products. The group is seeking an enthusiastic graduate to research on an exciting project aimed at creating high-value sustainable recycling solutions for construction demolition and glass wastes.
Applications are invited for a 3-year fully funded PhD studentship. The studentship will cover UK/EU level fees and includes a stipend of £12000 per year as well as provision for travel to conferences.
Applicants must have a good first degree or MSc in the subject areas of civil engineering, concrete technology, material sciences, building technology or equivalent. The successful applicant will be part of a lively research team working on various aspects of concrete/masonry product development, design, sustainable construction and technology at scientific, as well as applied research levels.
