PHD positions in Sensor Networks @ MSU
One or two PhD positions are available for fall 2009 in Dr. Guoliang Xing's group, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Michigan State University, USA. Successful applicants will enroll as TA
or RA with monthly stipend. Possible research directions include wireless sensor networks, mobile computing, and embedded systems. For more information about possible research projects, please visit

The CSE Department at MSU conducts leading-edge research in many areas. The graduate program of CSE has been ranked 18th in the USA among all computer science graduate programs in an article recently published in Communications of the ACM. MSU enjoys a large, park-like campus with outlying research facilities and natural areas. East Lansing, the home of MSU, is located directly east of Lansing, the capital of state ofMichigan. East Lansing is known as a safe, beautiful, friendly city with very reasonable living cost.
Applicants should have a Bachelor or Master degree (or expect to receive the degree before Fall 2009) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines. Applicants with a strong
mathematical background and/or hands-on experiences with wireless networks/operating systems/embedded systems are particularly welcome to apply.
